Why We Started
Bink made began the way a lot of good ideas do — with a personal frustration that wouldn't go away.
Our founders, Leslie and Ben, spent more than two years developing a line of wellness water bottles before launching in 2019. The problem they kept running into was simple: they knew they needed to drink more water, but nothing on the market made it easy to actually do that. Stainless steel bottles kept water cold but you couldn't see through them. Plastic bottles felt cheap and worried them. And none of them gave you any real sense of whether you were actually hitting your daily goal or just guessing.
So they set out to build something better. A glass bottle with a silicone sleeve that felt good in your hand, looked clean on your desk, and most importantly — told you exactly how much water you'd had and how much was left to go.
What Makes Our Bottles Different
Every bottle we make has one job: help you drink more water without thinking about it.
The silicone sleeve isn't just for looks. It protects the glass, keeps it from sliding around, and gives you a comfortable grip. But the real magic is the tracking icons printed on it. Simple AM/PM time markers that show you how far along you are by a certain point in the day. No apps. No notifications. Just a quick glance and you know if you need to catch up.
We make our bottles from thick, borosilicate glass — the same kind used in labs. It's BPA-free, lead-free, cadmium-free, phthalate-free, and designed to handle daily use without leaching anything into your water. The caps are made from food-grade silicone and polypropylene, and everything is dishwasher safe.
The Mama Bottle
One of the products we're most proud of is the Mama Bottle, designed specifically for pregnancy and postpartum hydration. It has its own tracking markers tailored to what expecting and nursing mothers actually need — typically 3 refills during pregnancy and 4 during postpartum per day. The idea came from conversations with real moms who told us standard bottles just didn't account for how much their hydration needs changed.
Our Approach to Sustainability
We don't want our bottles ending up in landfills. That's why every bottle comes with a one-year warranty — if you accidentally break the glass within the first 365 days, keep the cap and sleeve, send us a picture, and we'll replace the bottle for the cost of shipping. It's a small thing, but it means fewer bottles getting thrown away because of one clumsy moment.
